I took a parcel to my local DHL office in Bermuda on Saturday 22nd March 2008. I knew it would not leave until Monday 24th March 2008 but that was ok as I was sure it would get to the UK in time for my daughters birthday on 30th March. It reached Wilmington, Ohio on 24th March and was processed and cleared on 25th March.
It then stayed at Wilmington until 28th March. DHL would not/could not say why my shipment wasn't moving. When I complained they said there was nothing they could do about it.
It finally reached my daughter on Tuesday 1st April with the contents slashed. My issue is that I entrusted and paid DHL to perform a service and expected my parcel to arrive in the same condition it left my hands. They have not performed the service they were expected to.
Monetary Loss: $60.
